Далее тренировочные мини-диалоги объединяются в более подробные и  развернутые диалоги, которые я покажу в другой статье на моем сайте под рубрикой «Методика».

Concise (incomplete) list of interactive patterns used during English classes – just to remind my former students of these structures. Later at a more advanced level these mini-dialogues can be combined in order to create more extended and detailed messages which I will demonstrate later in my articles.

Pattern 1    Drink this medicine! – I have (already/just) drunk it.

Pattern 2    Do not drink this water!   I haven’t drunk it (yet).

Pattern 3    Have you read my book (yet)?

Not yet, I am still reading it.

Pattern 4    Have you read my book (yet)?

Yes, I have. I am not reading it any longer.

Pattern 5    Have you checked my homework (yet)?

Not yet but I am going to check it later.

Pattern 6   Can you open the door, please?

Yes, I will.  I’ll open it right away.

Pattern 7   Will you repair my car?

No, I won’t. Let him (the mechanic) repair it.

Pattern 8    Shall we take a break?

Yes, let us take a break.

Pattern 9     Shall I carry your bag?

No, you needn’t.  It’s not heavy.  I can carry it myself.

Pattern 10    Can you load this cargo, please?

No, we won’t. Let them (the stevedores) load it.

Pattern 11     I have found my key at last.

Where did you find it?  I found it at the check point.

Pattern 12      Have you got a dictionary? – Yes, I have.

Can you lend it to me for a day? – Yes, here you are.

Pattern 13       Have you got a comb? – Yes, I have.

Can I use it?  – No, you cannot.

Pattern 14     Have you got a dictionary? – No, I haven’t.

Shall I lend it to you for a day?  -Yes, please.

Pattern 15     Can you play the piano?  Yes, I can but I don’t.

Pattern 16     Are you busy?  – No, I am not.  Why?

Can you help me to do my homework? – Yes, I will.
